New Feature

Well, I think I’ve finally given in. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to ramble, and given the chance, I can ramble on for a good
hour straight on topics ranging from religion to politics to Linux vs. Micro$oft. Looking back on this website for the past… 6 months or so, not a whole lot has been going on. (Duh.)

So, I’m adding something that I can update on a whim. Maybe rant and rave if I feel like. Or maybe just give fuller updates to what’s
already in the left column.

Speaking of which, one thing that grates on my nerves is the daily (well, generally daily, sometimes every other day) email asking
“Where can I get a copy of _____?” They obviously can click the link that brings up Outlook (don’t get me started on THAT piece of …) but they can’t bring themselves to click on “Archives”?

One thing I do have to set straight is that DnR is NOT over, not by a long shot. The fact is that the authors (all of us) have just so
much time in the day, and fanfics tend to be… well, left out. I know I work 10-hour days and have an hour commute each way, so my
time is pretty limited to begin with. However, I think I’ve found ways to “make time”, and hope that the others can do the same. In
many ways, DnR reflects a part of my life from college, and that’s something I’m not yet willing to write off – I’ve still stories to
tell, after all.

I’ve been trying to think of ways to put together DnR stuff on t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. without infringing on anyone’s copyright
and without trying to start a business. I just thought it’d be cool to have a coffee mug with Evil Ucchan on it one day, but I’m not
getting too far. If someone has a better idea (check that, ANY ideas) please drop me a line.

Lastly, one thing I’ve really missed by not going to cons anymore is the dealers’ rooms. I mean, I REALLY miss my annual fix of new
J-pop, anime soundtracks, and assorted CDs. Of course, with the advent of MP3 players like WinAmp and XMMS, I’m not without too
much anymore, BUT I still have no idea what’s hot and what’s not. Anyone care to fill me in? Please? *beg*
