11 points in the 3rd quarter. That’s not the way to win a game, that’s for sure. Of course, now the Sterns have to come to Phx and play, and I think Phx will get their share of “homer” calls.

Now for the good news – our D-backs have the best record in MLB at 15-5. The starting rotation of Webb, Haren, and Owings is 12-0. Tonight’s game was a great thriller to watch, beating the Giants 5-4, and now winning 6 of 7 series so far this season. There’s also only 5 more games against the NL West before a 10 game homestead against the Astros, Mets, and Phillies. They’re right now six games ahead of the Rockies for the division lead as well, so they’re bound to do well here in these next five games (two more at the LA Dodgers, three at the San Diego Padres).

Yes, it’s early. Yes, you don’t win pennants in April. Yes, the D-backs can’t possibly keep hitting the way they’re doing all season. But, who cares – if they jump out to an insanely large lead before hitting the “slump”, then they can afford to weather it without too much worry.
