Slowly, the scene pans through a familiar park, down several street - all empty - and coming to a final stop at the door of a very familiar apartment.] Makiko: [bouncing out door] Ja ne, Ukyou! Have a Merry Christmas! Ukyou: [smiling as she closes the door behind Makiko] You too! Stay out of trouble! [Ukyou locks the door, then walks into the kitchen, looking for something to drink.] Ukyou: [to herself] Where did I put the cocoa? [rummages through a cupboard] Ah, here it is. [She gets the milk out of the fridge and pours some in a saucepan, then puts the pan over the stove to heat up. As she waits, she walks into the other room to turn on the stereo. Instrumental music softly emanates from the speakers.] Ukyou: [out loud] Ah. Much better. [She heads back into the kitchen to check on the warming milk, then leans against the counter, silently daydreaming... * * * Snow gently falls outside Ukyou finds herself outside in the Patches of white in a misty world snow, laughing and smiling. She looks The warmth of a roaring fire around and sees a young girl making a Reminiscent of another journey snowman with a big smile. Years pass by so quickly As Ukyou walks toward the girl, she The time is nearly here seems to grow older and more beautiful Soon tomorrow will come with each step. Then, she gets up and Bringing in the holiday cheer walks inside the house behind her. But it's just another Christmas Ukyou follows her inside, where the girl Nothing special to me is laughing and hugging her parents, It's just another holiday while a little boy wraps his presents. Without any memories Ukyou's smile fades a little. Hanging up the stockings She then sees the tree, decorated with And decorating the tree many lights and tinsel, and all the Wrapping all the presents presents underneath it. The girl smiles But there are none for me at Ukyou as she arranges the gifts. It's just another Christmas Then everyone walks into the dining room Just another day in the year Where they sit down to eat a huge meal It's one more day and night of ham, turkey, pie, and other holiday In my life here foods, smiling and carrying on. It's just another Christmas Ukyou, however, turns away and heads for By myself, all alone the door. As she reaches it, the girl I wish I could spend Christmas walks up to her and smiles, handing her With the one I love a small box wrapped in decorative paper. I wish I could spend Christmas The entire scene fades, leaving Ukyou With the one I love standing in the snow, snowflakes in her Oh, with the one I love hair, holding the gift. She examines it It's just another Christmas... for a moment, then opens it... * * * [A knock on the door interrupts Ukyou's reverie. She glances at the saucepan, then removes it from the burner, turns off the oven and walks over to the front door.] Ukyou: [opening door] Konban... Ran-chan!!! [Ukyou immediately jumps into Ranma's arms in a tight embrace. Ranma, slightly embarrassed, quickly disentangles himself from Ukyou and smiles at her.] Ranma: Are you busy? Ukyou: [smiling] Nope. What brings you here? Ranma: [grins] Akane and I are headed home, and I thought... well.. if you weren't doing anything... maybe you'd like to come home with us and spend Christmas with the Tendos? Ukyou: [smiling brightly] You bet! I'll be ready in a sec! [bounds to her room] Ranma: [calling after her] Take your time! There's no hurry! [Ukyou stops and looks at Ranma with a big smile on her face. Then she nods and zips into her room. She emerges quickly with an overnight bag and her backpack, and the two leave the apartment.
