There are various ways to support the site; passing the word around that this site exists is one of them. I enjoy providing this service - I do the rankings for the love of the game - and I will keep doing it as long as I can reasonably afford it.
However, let's be honest: bandwidth and hardware cost money. Initially, I was able to pay that out of my own pocket, but now the site uses quite a lot more resources than I had originally budgeted for. I'm not out to turn a profit, evidenced by the fact that the site has no banner ads or pop-ups whatsoever, but covering the costs is a necessity.
